We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Resilience Specialist to join our team at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in analyzing and mitigating the risks associated with cyber, physical, and natural threats to our nation's critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead analytical plans to provide decision insights to stakeholders on complex, challenging, and ambiguous infrastructure resilience problems.
- Lead teams to develop, evaluate, and apply novel analytical models, tools, and frameworks to characterize and assess key infrastructure resilience-related issues.
- Collaborate with diverse teams of scientists and researchers from various technical disciplines to develop opportunities to operationalize research and development advancements for LLNL national security programs.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to internal and external stakeholders in a concise and effective way.
- Serve as a point of contact for program managers at sponsor and partner organizations.
- PhD in engineering or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas: infrastructure systems, energy systems, cybersecurity, physical security, intelligence analysis, or other related disciplines.
- Advanced experience in developing models and/or frameworks to characterize and assess complex infrastructure systems and/or threats and risks to these systems.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
- Experience in leading diverse, technical teams to execute projects.
- Significant experience with one or more of the following computational disciplines: risk analysis, systems analysis, decision analysis, data analytics, statistical modeling, modeling and simulation, control system design, systems engineering, or other related discipline.
- Significant experience in defining, scoping, and executing analytical plans to address complex research or programmatic questions.
- Significant experience effectively managing concurrent technical tasks with competing priorities and implementing advanced research concepts in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
