Role Summary

We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented Catering Event Sales Manager to enhance our commitment to excellence in hospitality. This individual will guide clients through their event planning journey, offering tailored solutions that align with their objectives, ultimately creating memorable event experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site inspections and pre-event planning meetings.
  • Analyze event cost structures and integrate them into effective solutions while adhering to profitability standards.
  • Drive sales initiatives and lead generation efforts to meet revenue targets.
  • Develop marketing campaigns to qualify potential leads.
  • Create and refine lead generation communications to facilitate sales meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce marketing materials that reflect our brand messaging.
  • Oversee sponsorship sales marketing, including promotional materials and web content.
  • Design event menus, organize tastings, and coordinate with culinary teams for optimal menu selection.
  • Manage vendor walkthroughs and meetings related to event logistics.
  • Prepare detailed Banquet Event Orders, design floor layouts, and oversee equipment inventory for events.
  • Ensure seamless communication of event details across departments.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor team members, contributing to the development of service techniques and operational procedures.
  • Generate financial reports and manage budgets, including monitoring receivables.
  • Maintain a local client database and foster relationships with new vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience in Event Sales or Conference Catering Sales.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven success in achieving sales objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of current food trends and fine dining service.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with event management software is advantageous.
  • Exceptional client relations and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
  • Commitment to service excellence and teamwork.
