Catering Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering General Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of catering operations at our fine dining restaurant and event venue in Staten Island, NY.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Catering Team: Manage and lead the catering team in planning, executing, and delivering high-end events that meet and exceed guest expectations.
- Oversee Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee day-to-day catering operations, including event setup, service, and breakdown.
- Client Relationship Management: Work closely with clients to understand their event needs and preferences, ensuring personalized service and attention to detail, providing expertise in menu planning, venue setup, and event flow to create memorable guest experiences.
- Sales and Marketing: Develop and execute sales strategies to attract and retain clients, grow the catering business, and increase event bookings.
- Event Logistics: Lead the coordination of all event logistics, including staffing, menu customization, vendor management, and on-site execution. Ensure seamless communication and collaboration between the kitchen, service staff, and clients.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Oversee budgeting, pricing, and cost control for all catering events including monitoring expenses and revenue to ensure profitability, while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, and mentor the catering staff, ensuring that they are aligned with the restaurant's service standards.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with vendors, such as florists, decorators, rental companies, and audiovisual providers, to ensure smooth coordination and successful event execution.
- Guest Feedback: Monitor guest feedback and satisfaction, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and ensuring a positive experience for all clients and guests.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Catering General Manager or similar role, preferably in a fine dining or upscale venue setting.
- Catering Operations: Strong knowledge of catering operations, event planning, and logistics for high-end events.
- Client Relationship Management: Exceptional client relationship management skills, with the ability to work with high-profile clients and deliver tailored experiences.
- Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on training and developing staff.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Experience in budget management, pricing strategies, and profitability analysis.
- Organizational and Multitasking Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and tasks simultaneously.
