About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Associate Project Director. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading organization in the field of juvenile justice and child welfare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership: Assist the Project Director in leading the development and implementation of programs aimed at improving juvenile justice and child welfare outcomes.
  • Program Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the rural fellowship program, including managing relationships with fellows, consultants, and attorneys.
  • Research and Collaboration: Conduct research and collaborate with stakeholders to develop and disseminate best practices in juvenile justice and child welfare.
  • Teaching and Mentoring: Provide training and mentorship to law students and attorneys on juvenile justice and child welfare issues.
Requirements
  • Education: Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited institution.
  • Experience: At least three years of substantial legal experience in the juvenile court system.
  • License: Nebraska Bar license or ability to obtain within 3 months of being hired.
  • Skills: Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree: Master's of social work or equivalent degree.
  • Experience: At least five years of substantial legal experience in the juvenile court system.
  • Skills: Grant writing, teaching experience, and/or curriculum development.
