Role Overview

We are looking for a proficient Lead Carpenter with a strong background in commercial construction. This role requires a blend of technical carpentry skills and leadership capabilities to manage construction projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of skilled tradespeople on various construction sites.
  • Interpret and execute blueprints to align with project specifications.
  • Perform essential carpentry tasks including framing, finishing, concrete forming, and drywall installation.
  • Prepare surfaces for new installations, including demolition as necessary.
  • Read and analyze shop drawings accurately.
  • Utilize precise measurement techniques to ensure accuracy.
  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on existing carpentry structures.
  • Foster a collaborative environment with other construction professionals.
  • Uphold safety standards and protocols on the job site.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of experience in the commercial construction industry.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Lead Carpenter or in a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding project requirements.
  • Ability to perform detailed carpentry work with precision.
  • Familiarity with concrete forming techniques is preferred.
  • Excellent leadership skills to inspire and guide team members.
