Position Overview:

Form Energy is seeking a Lead Facilities Engineer to become a vital member of our manufacturing operations team at our high-capacity production facility.

This role will play a crucial part in the development of our Form Factory 1 (FF1) facilities and the establishment of infrastructure for our groundbreaking battery manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in facilities infrastructure, systems implementation coordination, CAD design, and reliability programs.

This position will support engineering projects related to facilities, upgrades, and enhancements throughout our manufacturing site.

By collaborating closely with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams, you will assist in the design, planning, and execution of projects, ensuring they meet budgetary, timeline, environmental, and sustainability requirements.

Our FF1 facility will employ over 750 individuals and will have an annual production capacity of 500 megawatts of our innovative iron-air battery energy storage system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert technical support to address facility-related challenges and issues.
  • Assist in the development of maintenance strategies for facility equipment.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and analyses to ensure projects align with operational, budgetary, and environmental goals.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations, promoting safety and sustainability.
  • Drive continuous improvement by leveraging insights from project outcomes to enhance future initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, civil engineering, or a related field, with 3-7 years of demonstrated experience in facilities engineering, management, or related projects.
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
  • Technical expertise in building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other facility-related infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical skills to address complex issues and provide practical solutions.
  • Detail-oriented and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize competing demands effectively.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or progress towards obtaining one is highly regarded.
