Position Overview

The Senior Construction Manager will be responsible for directing and overseeing the construction of industrial facilities, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively from start to finish. This role demands extensive experience in industrial construction, strong leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of industrial building design principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Direct the planning, coordination, and execution of industrial construction projects, ensuring alignment with design specifications and project objectives.
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor a team of construction professionals, including site managers, supervisors, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Schedule and Budget Oversight: Develop and maintain project timelines, manage financial resources, and control costs to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health, safety, and environmental standards, while promoting a culture of safety on-site.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address design and construction challenges, ensuring project requirements are met.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control processes, conduct regular site inspections, and ensure that all work meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and address project challenges promptly, implementing effective solutions to maintain project timelines.
  • Innovative Practices: Introduce best practices and innovative construction techniques to enhance project efficiency, sustainability, and overall performance.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years in construction management with a strong emphasis on industrial building design and a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, industrial building design principles, project management software, and safety standards.
  • Project Management Skills: Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication abilities, capable of effectively interacting with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Leadership Qualities: Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and guide construction teams.
