Job Summary

VTG is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to provide business financial management support to a Navy Program Office. This is a hybrid role that requires onsite presence three days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Collect, prepare, and maintain task planning sheets to capture program requirements from performing activities.
  • Funding Management: Prepare funding documents in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) accounting database and submit to cognizant sponsoring organizations for processing.
  • Financial Reporting: Track current budgets, allocations, and funds execution to ensure that performing activities meet obligation and expenditure benchmarks and targets.
  • Performance Monitoring: Provide support for Performing Activity Reviews, Mid-Year Reviews, Program Reviews, and Financial Reviews.
  • Fund Management: Identify expiring funds and determine if funds are available for recoupment; prepare a plan for recoupment of funds and realignment as applicable.
  • Financial Data Analysis: Track funding document Work Completion Dates (WCD). Develop plan as needed to extend WCD dates or recoup/reissue funds for funding documents with remaining unliquidated obligations.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports as required. Research and prepare responses to financial data calls from various organizations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline/field of study.
  • Experience: Minimum five years of professional experience in DOD Financial Management. Minimum three years of Navy budget and financial analysis experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency using the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and other government financial systems. Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Excel, and PowerPoint to analyze and present data.
  • Clearance: Must have and maintain an active DoD Secret level clearance.
