Position Summary: The Financial Operations Associate will be integral in ensuring DCAA-compliant bookkeeping practices, overseeing accounts payable, generating invoices, and conducting financial reporting and contract expenditure management. This role will also assist with contract pricing and adapt to various tasks as required in our fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and compliant bookkeeping records in line with DCAA standards.
  • Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice validation, payment execution, and vendor interactions.
  • Prepare and send invoices to clients, ensuring precision and promptness.
  • Generate and interpret financial reports to aid in decision-making and financial strategy.
  • Manage contract expenditure, monitoring and reporting on contract-related expenses.
  • Support contract pricing through detailed financial analysis and assistance.
  • Engage in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Collaborate with various departments to facilitate smooth financial operations.
  • Execute ad hoc financial projects and tasks to support the finance team and broader company goals.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory changes to maintain compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping and financial oversight.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously and juggle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to adapt and take on diverse tasks as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a government contracting context.
  • Familiarity with contract management and pricing methodologies.
  • Experience with other accounting platforms such as Unanet or Costpoint.
  • Comprehensive understanding of DCAA compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of government contracting regulations and compliance requirements.
