Responsibilities of a Practical Nursing Specialist:
- Deliver direct care to residents as a licensed practical nurse (LPN).
- Oversee tasks performed by nursing aides.
- Accurately document and chart resident information.
- Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with all team members.
Qualifications for Practical Nursing Specialists:
- Associate's degree or higher in nursing.
- A valid, current nursing license in Illinois.
- Current CPR certification.
- A minimum of one year of experience in long-term care settings.
