Job Summary

Cottage Health is seeking a skilled Unit Operations Coordinator to facilitate patient care by providing administrative support, coordinating activities, and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure seamless coordination of patient care activities, including scheduling, documentation, and communication with healthcare professionals.
  • Provide administrative support to the healthcare team, including data entry, record-keeping, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements

Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A degree in a related field, such as healthcare administration or business, is preferred.

Certifications and Licenses

A Heartsaver CPR or BLS certification is required. The American Heart Association certification is preferred.

Technical Requirements

Proficiency in basic medical terminology and proper grammar and spelling is required. Experience with office systems, practices, equipment, and familiarity with computers is preferred.

Work Experience

A minimum of one year of related work experience, including completion of a unit secretary class or equivalent work experience, prior clerical experience, understanding of office systems, practices, equipment, and familiarity with computers, is required.
