Role Summary:

The Assistant Golf Professional role is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven golf professional. This position demands a combination of skills in golf operations, teaching, and customer engagement. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to the sport, a focus on excellence, and the ability to manage various facets of club operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Golf Operations Management: Supervise daily golf activities, ensuring the smooth execution of all related tasks. Responsibilities include managing the first tee, tee sheet, golf shop, practice areas, and outside services.
  2. Team Leadership: Lead and train the outside services staff, promoting a professional atmosphere and exceptional customer service.
  3. Tournament Coordination: Assist in organizing and executing golf tournaments and special events, collaborating with the Head Golf Professional and other departments.
  4. Instructional Programs: Design and implement comprehensive golf instruction programs, including individual coaching and group clinics.
  5. Member Engagement: Develop strategies to enhance member satisfaction and foster relationships through active participation in club activities.
  6. Retail Management: Ensure a top-notch shopping experience in the golf shop, maintaining organization and cleanliness while assisting with inventory management.
  7. Marketing Collaboration: Work with the communications team to effectively promote club offerings and increase visibility through digital platforms.
  8. Technology Utilization: Employ golf-related technology systems for efficient operations and stay updated on industry advancements.

Additional Duties:

Address member concerns proactively, continuously update skills in golf instruction, and represent the club at professional events.

Qualifications:

Preferred candidates will possess strong leadership and communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to the club's core values. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and golf event management software is essential.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds, with regular outdoor work conditions.
