Position Summary

The Radiology Services Coordinator is responsible for assisting our Radiologists and clients, ensuring prompt examination readings. This role involves troubleshooting IT-related issues, managing client phone inquiries, and fulfilling requests from Radiologists.

This position offers a high degree of autonomy and is ideally suited for proactive, solution-oriented individuals who thrive on learning and collaboration.

We seek candidates who are self-motivated, persistent, and comfortable voicing questions or suggestions.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor worklists and applications independently to ensure optimal system performance
  • Escalate issues as outlined in documented procedures
  • Communicate with referring and hospital physicians on behalf of Radiologists
  • Verify the accuracy of all exams prior to Radiologist review
  • Generate and analyze designated reports as needed
  • Manage incoming support calls from Radiologists and clients
  • Conduct external phone communications (not cold calling) with Radiologists and clients
  • Perform data entry tasks as required
  • Maintain open communication channels with Radiologists and team members

Desired Technical and Professional Skills and Experience

  • Experience in Service Desk, Help Desk, Technical Support, Call Center, or Customer Service environments
  • Exceptional customer service communication skills - verbal, written, and presentation
  • Strong creative problem-solving abilities
  • Proven capability to excel in a fast-paced, autonomous environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to create and adhere to documented procedures
  • Capacity to thrive in an environment focused on continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Knowledge or experience with PACS systems
  • Experience with EHR/EMR systems
The RSC team operates with tiered, shared, and rotating responsibilities. Depending on tenure and experience, RSC teammates may undertake various tasks and/or assume additional responsibilities. Job duties for each teammate, shift, or department may evolve in response to technological advancements, management strategies, and/or physician feedback.
