Water Quality Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join Tower Water, a prominent player in the environmental services sector. This role focuses on overseeing water management protocols in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to water treatment and compliance.
This position operates with a high degree of autonomy, necessitating the ability to meet deadlines efficiently. The successful applicant will demonstrate responsiveness, a positive attitude, and sound judgment while adapting to various working conditions, including unexpected schedule changes and outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough reviews and audits of facility water management strategies.
• Collaborate effectively with our water treatment and construction teams.
• Serve as a point of contact between building management, vendors, and health authorities to mitigate legionella risks in cooling systems.
• Perform inspections of cooling towers in accordance with local regulations.
• Collect and submit Legionella samples as required, whether on a scheduled or emergency basis.
• Generate and deliver documentation to clients to ensure compliance standards are met.
• Provide training and support related to water management initiatives.
• Educate clients about the services offered.
• Undertake additional tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
• Preferred 7G Pesticide License.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the water treatment field is preferred.
• An open-minded individual eager to develop conceptual skills.
• Strong communication skills for constructive client interactions.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to complete tasks punctually.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office and Google applications.
• Basic mechanical skills for hands-on tasks.
• A reliable individual who values professional reputation.
• Ability to manage tasks independently while seeking supervision when necessary.
Education:
• 2-Year Technical Degree or higher
• Certified Industrial Hygienist
• Environmental Consultant
• ASSE 12080 Legionella Water Safety and Management Personnel
*Experience in the water treatment industry may fulfill educational requirements.
Working Conditions:
This is a field-based role, requiring outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Standing for extended periods (6-8 hours).
• Frequently lifting weights up to 30-50 lbs.
• Safely using ladders to access equipment.
• Potential exposure to hazardous environments, including chemicals and confined spaces.
• Commuting within the New York Metropolitan area.
