The Water Quality Technician II plays a crucial role in executing specialized laboratory assessments and examinations to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Conducts field-based water quality evaluations alongside laboratory work.
- Manages and organizes necessary documentation and performs data entry tasks.
- Collaborates with various divisions within Water Resources and other County departments to fulfill required duties.
- Engages directly with community members.
- Undertakes additional responsibilities as needed.
Job Grade: B22(1)
Essential Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED;
- Minimum of two years of laboratory experience;
- Or a comparable combination of education and experience that equips the individual to effectively perform the primary responsibilities of the role.
A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to meet the criteria for operating a County vehicle.
Physical Demands:Positions in this classification require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Medium Work:Involves exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Employees may encounter fumes, odors, gases, and chemicals.
