Position Summary

The Compliance and Quality Assurance Coordinator plays a crucial role in facilitating communication between factories/suppliers and internal departments to ensure adherence to product quality standards and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess products to verify compliance with ULAC testing standards and customer requirements through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Assist in onboarding and establishing new factories/suppliers.
  • Monitor factories/suppliers for compliance with various brands' social and environmental standards, as well as security and quality audits.
  • Collaborate with factories/suppliers to develop remediation plans aimed at enhancing compliance ratings.
  • Engage in daily communication with factories/suppliers to request necessary regulatory and performance testing for softlines products.
  • Review testing reports for softlines products.
  • Address and resolve testing failures and compliance issues with factories/suppliers and retailers.
  • Ensure compliance with testing requirements set by major retailers.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and update testing statuses in internal systems.
  • Alert cross-functional teams about potential issues.
  • Issue General Conformity Certificates to suppliers upon receipt of all required passing test reports.
  • Coordinate with third-party testing labs and audit firms to finalize testing protocols and review associated costs.
  • Possess a solid understanding of apparel sustainability initiatives, such as Higg Index, GRS, RCS, GOTS, etc.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support company operations.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in apparel production, product testing, or factory compliance.
  • Familiarity with US federal and state safety regulations for apparel, including CPSC, CPSIA, and CA Prop65.
  • Experience with testing programs and factory compliance for major retailers is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects effectively while consistently meeting deadlines.

Compensation:
This position is classified as a contract role for a duration of 3 to 6 months.

Work Environment:
This role requires on-site presence.
