As CMI continues to grow, we are seeking a qualified EHS Compliance Specialist to enhance our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and sustain EHS programs to guarantee compliance with regulations.
  • Perform safety evaluations and risk analyses to identify potential hazards and suggest corrective measures.
  • Create and manage EHS documentation, including Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, Confined Space protocols, and Machine Guarding assessments.
  • Promote safe work practices, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to LOTO procedures.
  • Deliver training on safety measures, emergency protocols, and environmental stewardship.
  • Examine incidents and near-misses, generating reports with recommendations for prevention.
  • Encourage a culture of safety awareness and regulatory compliance.
  • Support the behavior-based safety initiative through observations, data collection, and employee engagement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a safety trainer and consultant.
  • Proven experience in delivering a variety of safety training programs.
  • Capability to develop engaging safety presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills as a presenter.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Experience in drafting workplace risk assessments.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to perform under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Education and Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Health and Safety-related field.
  • Professional certifications such as ASP, SMS, OHST, or CHST.
  • OSHA 501 certification.
  • First Aid and CPR Instructor certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to climb ladders.
  • Ability to stoop, crawl, and bend.
  • Capacity to lift items weighing up to 30 pounds.

Additional Requirements:

  • Background checks and potential drug screenings are mandatory for this position.
  • Flexibility in working hours may be required based on project needs.
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance.
