Accounting Manager Job Description

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting department and drive financial strategy and decision-making for business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular ledger maintenance and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and transparency.
  • Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Manage the budget process and conduct financial forecasting to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, including tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide strategic guidance around capital financing options to support business growth needs.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  • Interact with various departments and provide financial information and guidance as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA would be a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting role, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in financial statement preparation, accruals, accounting, financial reporting, and cost accounting.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and interact at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
