Account Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Account Manager to join our team at Marsh McLennan Agency. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our clients, developing and maintaining strong relationships, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service and develop accounts to ensure client satisfaction and retention
  • Work collaboratively with producers to deliver exceptional service to clients
  • Manage annual enrollment periods and implement plan changes and coverage transfers
  • Provide employee communications, including annual benefit enrollment guides and benefit summaries
  • Present at open enrollment meetings and secure and maintain current benefit plan summaries and documents
  • Document issues related to clients in the document management system
  • Assist with day-to-day service issues and concerns, including complex service issues, claims, billing, eligibility, enrollment, and coverage issues
  • Answer questions regarding plan interpretation and compliance
  • Follow up with clients and other team members on action plans to ensure decisions are implemented, contracts prepared, and appropriate parties are notified
  • Prepare renewal binders, proposals, and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Employee Health Benefits industry, preferably working for an employer, insurer/administrator, or broker
  • Life and Health/Accident License
  • Ability to navigate relationships and relate to various levels within the client audience
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
