About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Manager to join our team at Marsh McLennan Agency. As a key member of our Business Insurance team, you will be responsible for maintaining files in our agency management system and document management system, as well as performing account transactions, obtaining renewal information, and conducting periodic service calls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our agency management system and document management system.
  • Perform account transactions, including applications, quotations, ID cards, endorsements, invoices, binders, renewals, certificates, follow-up, and correspondence.
  • Obtain renewal information from insureds and companies prior to renewal and complete applications as needed.
  • Conduct periodic service calls for designated accounts.
  • Perform special projects at the request of designated clients after approval by management.
  • Maintain a focus on timeliness and completeness when interacting with customers, agency, and company personnel to minimize potential for errors and omissions claims.
  • Review renewals to determine if non-standard policies can be rewritten in a standard program.
  • Prepare rewrite applications for business through companies no longer represented.
  • Secure and submit required renewal underwriting information.
  • Receive and review all terminations and cancellations to determine action to be taken.
  • Actively review increases in limits and/or overages or rounding out accounts through sales to clients at service contact opportunities.
  • Document all material conversations with insureds and/or carriers regarding exposures and coverages.
  • Mentor and train new and existing staff as requested by management.
  • Assist with claims handling.
  • Handle process of new business and renewal marketing.
  • Participate in stewardship and client meetings.
  • Advise and counsel clients.
  • Manage client relationship with minimal oversight.
  • Resolve complicated service issues.
  • Assist Producers as needed.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of account management.
  • Insurance Professional Designations (e.g., CIC, CPCU, CISR).
  • Must have all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance to discuss and/or sell insurance in states where the agency functions.
  • Proficient in use of personal computer, calculator, agency automation system, Microsoft products (including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook).
  • Consistently shows professional demeanor, ownership in work, and is actively engaged in mentorship.
