Your Responsibilities
Under specific guidance, you will be responsible for promoting Johnson Controls service offerings to building owners, primarily at the Director level. You will advocate for the Johnson Controls value proposition by delivering technical solutions and operational insights. Your role will involve building and nurturing long-term relationships with targeted and managed accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction. You will position renewable service agreements as the cornerstone of managed account relationships and execute the sales process to cultivate and maintain these relationships while identifying, qualifying, and closing new sales opportunities. Your goal will be to secure and finalize sales on a monthly basis and to expand the scope of Johnson Controls offerings within each account.
Your Approach
- With guidance from your supervisor, you will effectively sell Johnson Controls offerings to building owners at the Director level, ensuring optimal profit margins.
- You will focus on enhancing existing buildings to help owners achieve their business goals.
- You will manage ongoing opportunities, particularly emphasizing service sales and retrofits.
- You will sell, renew, and expand renewable service agreements, including multi-year contracts, to both new and existing clients.
- You will cultivate partnerships with owners or their representatives who are key decision-makers in the purchasing process.
- You will actively listen, probe for insights, and identify any concerns.
- You will gain a deep understanding of the customer's business and communicate effectively in their language.
Qualifications We Seek
- A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in field sales is essential.
- At least one year of successful experience in selling HVAC or building automation system services or projects is required.
- A demonstrated commitment to integrity and quality in business practices is essential.
- Strong initiative and excellent interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
- Proven ability to influence key decision-makers within accounts is required.
