Your Responsibilities


Under direct supervision and adhering to established protocols, you will be responsible for the design of hardware and programming of software for HVAC control systems to fulfill project specifications.

You will provide detailed documentation and submissions to convey design and operational information to clients, consultants, Johnson Controls installation teams, and subcontractors.

You will respond to basic warranty inquiries.

Your Approach

Select hardware designs from the standard design library for flow diagrams, operational sequences, bill of materials, network layouts, and electrical schematics as needed.

You will perform software programming based on established design standards.

You will coordinate the creation of necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submissions and installations.

You will select, order, and monitor the delivery of materials for assigned projects.

You will coordinate factory-mounting processes to align with factory and project timelines.

You will assist in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required, validating complete system functionality and troubleshooting issues with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.

You will gather field modifications from the project team and create as-built drawings and software. You will prepare necessary documentation and/or manuals for system operation.

You will keep management and the JCI contractor or customer updated on job progress and challenges.

You will coordinate with project owners to clarify engineering and field execution responsibilities.

You will assist in providing site-specific training for owners/operators on the complete system.

You will complete paperwork including, but not limited to, time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.

You will adhere to safety standards, demonstrating a high regard for the safety of employees and subcontractors.

What We Seek

Required:
Proven knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

Demonstrated technical proficiency.

Advanced computer skills are essential.

Preferred:
An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or 5+ years of experience in the HVAC sector.


Experience in installing and/or commissioning control systems, including system-level controllers, or experience in designing or evaluating mechanical/electrical building systems or control systems.
