Position: Quality Assurance Engineer I

Job Type: Full Time; Consultant

Schedule: 1st Shift

Compensation: $37.42 per hour

Role Overview:

Are you driven by a commitment to quality and continuous enhancement? As a Quality Assurance Engineer I, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical assistance to address known quality challenges, ensuring the delivery of safe, compliant, and superior products to our clientele. Work alongside a dynamic team to identify root causes and implement corrective measures utilizing the 8D methodology, validated by our audit team.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, aviation sciences, quality systems, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Duties:

  1. Conduct thorough investigations into quality concerns in accordance with departmental protocols and work instructions.
  2. Identify and execute process improvement initiatives to boost quality and operational efficiency.
  3. Maintain exceptional levels of customer satisfaction for both internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Collaborate effectively with various departments and disciplines.
  5. Ensure a Foreign Object Debris (FOD) free environment.
  6. Implement company policies and procedures, developing new protocols as necessary.
  7. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support the operational priorities set forth by the Quality leadership team.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Other Qualifications:

  1. An Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License combined with 4 years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  2. ASQ certification (CQE) and/or experience as an FAA recognized airworthiness designee is highly preferred.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data collection and analysis.
  4. Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  5. Ability to comprehend and learn manufacturing processes (e.g., Assembly, Machining, Special Process, Inspection).
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  7. Proficient in computer skills.

Compensation Details: $37.42 per hour
