Position Overview:
The candidate will engage within the critical domain of the Planning & Analytics team for Global Integrated Marketing (GIM). This role involves identifying and assessing strategic business prospects, including innovative initiatives and collaborations. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams across AWS marketing to evaluate these prospects and establish a factual basis for informed decision-making.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate the framework and methodology to tackle ambiguous and intricate analytical challenges, translating findings into actionable insights and recommendations for the organization.
  • Develop business requirements to evaluate the impact of AWS marketing across various channels and its effectiveness in fostering a conducive selling environment and promoting business growth.
  • Assess new marketing opportunities by simulating performance through plausible scenarios or illustrating the boundaries of acceptable risks.
  • Propose strategies and tactics to enhance current business operations processes for improved operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other analytics teams and finance to continuously refine measurement methodologies, synthesizing diverse perspectives into a clear and concise format.
  • Deliver findings and recommendations to the senior leadership team.

About the Team:
The Global Integrated Marketing (GIM) team executes global, integrated marketing initiatives encompassing advertisements, sponsorships, brand partnerships, web, email, social media, events, and digital strategies to enhance brand awareness, preference, and adoption of AWS services. The GIM Planning and Analytics team partners directly with GIM leadership to drive strategic initiatives and shape the overarching long-term marketing strategy for the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business or marketing strategy, consulting, corporate development, finance, or operations.
  • 5+ years of advanced Excel proficiency (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.).
  • Experience in making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (including structured thinking and attention to detail) with experience in presenting to senior executives.
  • Demonstrated sound business judgment, strong analytical capabilities, and a proven history of ownership, leading data-driven analyses, and influencing outcomes.
  • Experience in defining business requirements and utilizing data and metrics to derive business insights.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or equivalent Master's degree in Marketing or Finance.
  • Proven project management abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience in conducting strategy engagements and measuring effectiveness in the B2B sector.
  • Adept at measuring, testing, learning, and iterating to achieve optimal results.
  • Track record of successfully navigating ambiguous scenarios.
  • Experience in creating financial models to evaluate the long-term value of investments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Intellectual curiosity, a passion for data-driven decision-making, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is determined by several factors including market location and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a total compensation package, alongside a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
