About the Role

The Vice President will become part of a private investment organization, contributing to their operations. This firm is dedicated to investing in sectors such as business services, software, internet, retail, consumer healthcare, transportation, industrial, finance technology, software-as-a-service, digital commerce, and consumer technology, targeting businesses with EBITDA ranging from $2M to $200M.

Key Responsibilities

The Vice President will collaborate with senior investment professionals in various functions including investment sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management. Specific duties encompass:
  • Financial Analysis - Develop financial models to evaluate cash flows, investment returns, and enterprise values for potential investment opportunities and current portfolio companies.
  • Investment Approval Documentation - Prepare memos and other necessary materials for the Investment Committee.
  • Market Research - Conduct thorough research on market size, growth potential, demand drivers, and key competitors.
  • Third-Party Due Diligence - Coordinate diligence efforts with external partners such as senior lenders, accountants, attorneys, IT consultants, and strategy consultants.
  • Portfolio Management - Support ongoing monitoring and strategic initiatives for portfolio companies.
  • Investor Relations and Fundraising - Compile financial reports and valuation assessments of current portfolio companies for existing and prospective investors.
  • Marketing Support - Assist in attending industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
Professional Experience & Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in business, demonstrating strong academic performance.
  • Over 3 years of experience in private equity, complemented by at least 2 years in investment banking, strategy consulting, or transaction advisory services.
  • A mature and professional demeanor with a strong work ethic.
  • A comprehensive understanding of accounting, corporate finance, corporate strategy, and business reporting.
  • Sound business acumen and investment judgment.
  • Analytical mindset with a practical and innovative approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior team members, colleagues, and executives within portfolio companies and acquisition targets.
Education

A bachelor's degree is required; relevant advanced degrees are advantageous.

Salary

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
