Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Providence Swedish. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in performing a variety of sonographic examinations, including OB/GYN, abdominal, and small parts. You will also assist the radiologist during invasive procedures and make clinical judgments about patient conditions based on information obtained from referring physicians, medical records, patient interviews, and personal assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sonographic examinations using various modalities, including ultrasound and Doppler.
  • Assist radiologists during invasive procedures, such as biopsies and aspirations.
  • Make clinical judgments about patient conditions, based on information obtained from referring physicians, medical records, patient interviews, and personal assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound training program.
  • Within 1 year of hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • 1 year experience as an ultrasound technologist or ultrasound intern.
