Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Harborview Medical Center. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Doppler and spectral analysis of solid organs and transplants in clinical areas such as high-risk obstetrics and gynecology, liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants, shunt evaluations, and premature neonates.
  • Conduct examinations in high-risk obstetrical, liver, kidney, and transplant areas, as well as specialty care clinics, the trauma center, and/or recovery room.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment, including PACS, Ultrasound workstations, the Hospital Information System, and the Radiology Information System.
  • Review patient medical records and physician referral diagnosis.
  • Prepare patients for examination, explain testing procedures, and perform physical examinations as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a diagnostic ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and registered in abdominal and obstetrical ultrasound.
  • Experience equivalent to criteria for eligibility for registration in abdominal and obstetrical ultrasound by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
