Job Summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is a leading cancer research and treatment center seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and/or assist with ultrasound procedures according to department procedure manual
  • Manage electronic data, process information, and review exams for proper positioning and technique
  • Instruct radiology students and/or new staff according to clinical and department requirements
  • Perform visual maintenance and quality controls checks, record and report results, and identify problems and communicate them to the immediate supervisor
  • Coordinate and schedule examinations

Qualifications:

  • Degree or program that provides eligibility to attain certification or licensure
  • Certified in abdominal, neuro, and/or OB/GYN ultrasonography by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent
  • Current BLS AHA Health Provider Card (or equivalent course)
  • Two years ultrasound experience required
  • Ability to communicate verbally in person, on the phone, and in writing in a clear, concise, and professional manner
  • Ability to work independently, organize, and prioritize concurrent responsibilities and demands

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in email and word processing systems
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records
  • ARDMS - DVT certification
  • Three or more years ultrasound experience preferred

We offer a competitive hourly pay range of $52.36 to $82.75, which includes the per diem differential, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. We also offer access to a retirement savings plan, an employee assistance program, and paid sick leave.
