Job Description

**Job Summary**

Kasai North America, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Production Control General Manager to lead our production planning and material management efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing supply chains that support our business strategies, managing inventory and material planning, and overseeing shipping and receiving operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supply Chain Management: Design and implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, and/or cost reduction strategies.
  • Inventory and Material Planning: Manage and coordinate inventory levels, material planning, and procurement to ensure efficient production and minimize waste.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Oversee shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and products.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in identifying root cause and corrective actions to improve processes and meet plant objectives.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with customer requirements and outside audit requirements, and maintain high-quality standards in all aspects of production.
  • Performance Management: Review records or reports pertaining to activities such as production, payroll, or shipping to verify details, monitor work activities, and evaluate performance.
  • Department Budgeting: Review and implement department budget objectives to ensure compliance.
  • Team Management: Motivate and manage production control team's activities to accomplish departmental and plant goals and objectives.
  • Performance Evaluation: Participate in ongoing performance management activities including, but not limited to, evaluations and corrective actions.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, 5S practices, regulatory and/or customer requirements.

Requirements:

  • Education: Four-year degree in Business, Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred Certification: APICS/CPIM certification.
  • Experience: 6-10 years of prior production planning and material management in a plastic manufacturing or similar environment, and 6-10 years of previous management experience.
  • Skills: Organizational, interpersonal, and mathematical skills, leadership skills, and familiarity with related software applications.

Work Environment:

This job operates primarily in an office environment, and routinely uses standard office equipment. The performance of this position will also require exposure to the manufacturing areas, which requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses.
