**Job Summary**

The Proud Bird is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, the Sous Chef will be responsible for overseeing food production, ensuring high-quality dishes, and supporting the Executive Chef in achieving our culinary goals.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Oversee food production, ensuring consistency and quality in all dishes

• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu items and recipes

• Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective food preparation

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards

• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies

• Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize kitchen operations

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and high-quality customer experience

**Requirements:**

• 1-2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role

• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen operations

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment

• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

• Food Handler Certificate required
