- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and serviced to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies, accidents, and equipment breakdowns, and report incidents to management.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of kitchen operations, including inventory, expenses, and staff performance.
- Culinary Arts Degree: A degree in culinary arts or a related field is required.
- Management Experience: A minimum of one year of management and supervisory experience in a kitchen or food service environment is required.
- Certifications: Must be a certified food handler under the California Safety Code 97-0071, and possess a CPR and First Aid certification.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong attention to detail.
The Kitchen Supervisor will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and physical activity. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods is required.
