Position Title: Long-Term Care Claims Specialist

Job Overview:

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, primarily based out of our corporate offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries from clients, beneficiaries, financial representatives, and third parties regarding coverage, claim status, and other pertinent information.
  • Conduct thorough reviews, analyses, and investigations to determine the appropriate course of action, making payment decisions based on policy coverage and limits, while authorizing payments for claims within the assigned business line (Life/Long Term Care/Disability).
  • Engage in correspondence with financial representatives, policyholders, healthcare providers, legal professionals, and claimants, while also communicating with clients and regulatory bodies as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in analyzing contracts to assess eligibility.
  • Manage incoming correspondence related to new and pending claims.
  • Skilled in utilizing various systems (including but not limited to Expert system, AWD & ClaimFacts) to gather information for clients.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders regarding claim requirements.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education, and training.
