How does a Long-Term Care Claims Examiner make an impact?
Provides customer service by answering phones and providing information to the Client/Beneficiary, Financial Representative or Third Party as appropriate regarding questions of coverage, claim status and other information as needed. Position reviews, analyzes, investigates, decides course of action, concludes payment decision by referring to policy coverage and limits and authorizes payments for claims in assigned line of business (Life/Long Term Care/Disability) within authority guidelines Corresponds with Financial Representatives, policyholders, hospitals, doctors, attorneys and claimants. May communicate directly with clients, state insurance departments and other internal and external areas.Do you have what we’re looking for?
Ability to analyze contracts to determine eligibility. Processes incoming mail for new and pending claims. Ability to utilize multiple systems (including but not limited to Expert system, AWD & ClaimFacts) to acquire information given to clients. Communication skills to communicate with internal and external parties regarding claim needs. Typically requires 2 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training.Why work with us?
