Role Overview:

The Long-Term Care Claims Examiner plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of claims related to long-term care. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of our claims process and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries from clients, beneficiaries, financial representatives, and third parties regarding coverage details, claim statuses, and other pertinent information.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of claims, determining eligibility and making informed decisions based on policy coverage and limits. Authorize payments for claims within designated authority guidelines.
  • Engage in correspondence with financial representatives, policyholders, healthcare providers, legal professionals, and claimants. Communicate effectively with clients and regulatory bodies as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in analyzing contracts to ascertain eligibility criteria.
  • Efficiently process incoming mail related to new and ongoing claims.
  • Skilled in utilizing various systems (such as Expert system, AWD & ClaimFacts) to gather and relay information to clients.
  • Strong communication abilities to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders regarding claims requirements.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a combination of related education and training.
