Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Industrial Hygienist to join our team at the Waste Treatment Plant in Richland, WA. As a key member of our Nuclear Safety team, you will be responsible for implementing and administering project industrial safety and hygiene programs to ensure employee, public safety, and occupational health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement industrial safety and hygiene programs to minimize hazards and diseases in the work area.
  • Conduct compliance evaluations of equipment, structures, and work in progress to ensure regulatory environmental, safety, and health standards are met.
  • Provide technical assistance to office and field activities to ensure compliance with applicable international, Federal, State, and/or Company health and safety regulations.
  • Support worker safety and health needs, including injury and event response and case management.
  • Actively participate in pre-task and safety meetings to ensure effective implementation of safety and health rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree with at least 9 years of experience or a MS degree and 7 years of experience in a related science or engineering field.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification is preferred.
  • Experience in a nuclear, heavy construction, chemical processing, or petroleum refining environment is preferred.
  • Must possess the right to work and remain in the US without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
  • Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.
