Job Summary:

Industrial Staffing Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior HVAC Engineer - Nuclear Safety & Engineering to join our team. As a Senior HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and procuring plant HVAC systems, preparing technical reports and studies, and developing design documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyze HVAC, safety, and other data and requirements for HVAC and/or other support systems.
  • Design and specify equipment to meet applicable design requirements.
  • Procure equipment in accordance with applicable QA requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineering groups and other disciplines in developing detailed system design and specifying equipment.
  • Prepare reports and studies in resolving open technical issues related to process systems.
  • Develop and revise ventilation and instrument diagrams, formal calculations, and equipment datasheets and specifications.
  • Support associated safety analyses and hazards evaluations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or college.
  • 9 years of related experience, or 15 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Related experience includes V&IDs, calculations, and specifications for Mechanical/HVAC systems and equipment on power plants, refineries, or chemical process facilities.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Must be able to obtain a site security badge for access to work site.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with vendors on procurement of equipment.
  • Experience in CGD and/or Environmental Equipment Qualification.
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering examination.
  • Experience with Trane TRACETM 700 and VariTraneTM Duct Designer software.
  • Microsoft Office products (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
