Bechtel Corporation is seeking an experienced Industrial Hygienist to join our team. As an Industrial Hygienist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the public. You will be responsible for integrating industrial hygiene requirements into project planning, design, construction, and operations, and for conducting risk assessments, developing safety protocols, and providing training to employees.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development and implementation of industrial hygiene programs, including risk assessments, safety protocols, and training programs.
- Conduct industrial hygiene monitoring and sampling to identify hazards and risks, evaluate controls and corrective actions, and assess compliance with contract, regulatory, project, and Bechtel requirements.
- Provide technical assistance to office and field operations to ensure compliance with applicable international, Federal, State, and/or Company health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement industrial hygiene training programs and conduct training meetings as necessary.
- Conduct and assist projects with sampling, monitoring, data interpretation, and occupational health surveys to ensure compliance with established programs.
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) related to industrial hygiene and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in a nuclear, heavy construction, chemical processing, or petroleum refining environment.
- ABIH Certification (CIH) preferred.
