Job Summary:

In this critical role, you will play a key part in ensuring the health and safety of employees and the public by integrating industrial hygiene requirements into project planning, design, construction, and operations. Your work will involve evaluating program performance, identifying areas for improvement, and confirming compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of industrial hygiene programs, including risk assessments and environmental, safety, and health (ES&H) program execution.
  • Provide technical assistance to office and field operations to ensure compliance with applicable international, federal, state, and/or company health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct compliance evaluations of equipment, structures, and work in progress to ensure that regulatory environmental, safety, and health standards are followed.
  • Recommend facilities and technological specifications to carry out programs that fulfill the organization's overall objectives.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, correspondence, and program compliance documents.
  • Establish and maintain permits as required.
  • Meet applicable regulatory codes and standards where required.
  • Develop and implement industrial hygiene programs, including processes, procedures, and specifications.
  • Develop industrial hygiene training programs and conduct training meetings as necessary.
  • Train and assist subordinate industrial hygienists in sampling and assessment methodologies.
  • Conduct and assist projects with sampling, monitoring, data interpretation, and occupational health surveys to ensure compliance with established programs.
Requirements:
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) related to industrial hygiene and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in a nuclear, heavy construction, chemical processing, or petroleum refining environment.
  • ABIH Certification (CIH) Preferred.
