The Senior Industrial Hygienist will be responsible for implementing and administering project industrial hygiene programs to ensure employee, public safety, and occupational health. This role will serve as a resource for line management to administer a proactive prevention program for occupational accidents and illnesses.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement industrial hygiene programs, systems, and procedures to ensure compliance with ES&H standards and federal and state regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and prevent hazards and diseases that could be found in the work area.
  • Investigate accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace.
  • Recommend improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment to minimize hazards.
  • Develop and conduct employee training, emergency preparedness, and assure the quality of programs.
  • Provide regulatory interpretation and technical advice.
  • May provide guidance for a team of ES&H specialists and/or support personnel.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) related to industrial hygiene and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in a nuclear, heavy construction, chemical processing, or petroleum refining environment is preferred.
