Role Purpose:

We are seeking a Technical Program Manager to facilitate the design, execution, and ongoing support of our Next Generation 9-1-1 services. This role will emphasize planning and deploying our services while advocating for our customers throughout the deployment journey. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, coordination, and the successful preparation and delivery of NG911 services, from call ingress to the public safety answering point (PSAP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement onboarding protocols and procedures necessary for the rollout and maintenance of NG9-1-1 services.
  • Oversee communications and processes with telecommunications service providers.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to meet project deliverables.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for ingress call routing challenges.
  • Identify and execute process innovations, programmatic enhancements, and automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate risk mitigation as part of service deployment oversight.
  • Drive alignment between product development, operations, and service delivery to support business growth and efficiency.
  • Ensure the delivery of our contractually obligated services throughout deployment and maintenance phases.
  • Coordinate horizontal alignment between operations and service delivery for the implementation and maintenance of services/software.
  • Manage, coordinate, and supervise our vendors and partners.
  • Report and present schedules, progress, and risks to senior leadership.
  • Generate key performance indicators (KPIs) from data sources to identify areas for improvement.
  • Travel may be required up to 20% of the time.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Technical and operational comprehension of NG911 call flow.
  • Experience collaborating with telecommunications service providers.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated initiative.
  • Proven analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to establish and communicate processes effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in task management and status reporting.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Proven capability to thrive in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
  • Quality-oriented with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience in 911 systems.
  • Several years of experience within the 911 industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience.
