Position Overview: Are you a skilled Medical Laboratory Professional seeking a new opportunity? LabCorp is looking for a dedicated Lead Technician to contribute to our mission of enhancing health and improving lives. This role is situated in a dynamic and customer-oriented environment.

Work Schedule: This position operates on a first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the suitability of specimens for testing based on established standards.
  • Execute both routine and advanced technical procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Oversee, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Exhibit the capability to make informed technical decisions regarding testing and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare, evaluate, and test new reagents or controls.
  • Deliver precise and timely test results to ensure quality patient care.
  • Conduct and document preventive maintenance and quality control activities.
  • Identify and restock laboratory supplies as needed.
  • Assist in specimen processing when required.
  • Maintain a safe laboratory environment and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science, or Medical Laboratory Technology.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in clinical laboratory testing.
  • ASCP or AMT certification is advantageous.
  • Possession of any relevant state license, if applicable.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in computer use; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must successfully pass a standardized color vision screening.
  • Willingness to work overtime or alternative shifts as required by business needs.

Benefits: Compensation will be based on the candidate's skills, relevant experience, and applicable certifications.
