Job Title: Senior Vice President of Movie Development

A&E Networks is seeking a highly experienced and creative Senior Vice President of Movie Development to lead the development and production of original movies for Lifetime. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of the network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for original movie development and production.
  • Lead a team of programming professionals to create high-quality, engaging content that meets the network's brand vision.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Programming to identify and acquire new programming concepts and ideas.
  • Work closely with the marketing, research, and content sales departments to develop successful marketing plans and promotions.
  • Manage and motivate a team of programming professionals to achieve their full potential.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in programming and development, with a minimum of 4 years at a VP level or higher.
  • Proven track record of developing and producing successful movies and series.
  • Established relationships with independent producers, directors, writers, agents, talent, and the creative community.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
