About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at United Hospital Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the proper handling of instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare patients for surgery by positioning them correctly and ensuring their safety during the procedure.
  • Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team as needed, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Participate in the cleaning and disinfection of the operating room and equipment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the efficient and safe completion of procedures.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, completion of a Surgical Technology program, completion of a Registered Nurse program, or completion of a summer surgical tech extern program.
  • Two years of previous scrub experience or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and push/pull heavy loaded carts.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
