About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at United Hospital Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our surgical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team during operative procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the smooth execution of surgeries.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, adhering to established guidelines and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the circulating RN to monitor and maintain a sterile field, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, providing support and assistance as needed.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the OR, including inventory management, supply ordering, and equipment maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and families, promoting a positive and respectful work environment.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, completion of a Surgical Technology program, or completion of a Registered Nurse program.
  • Two years of previous scrub experience or completion of a summer surgical tech extern program.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and push/pull heavy loaded carts.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.
