Job Summary:

As a Business Development Manager at NELSON, you will be responsible for driving business growth and client retention in your assigned geographical region. Your primary goal will be to manage and expand business relationships with targeted prospects and existing clients, ensuring the achievement of measurable production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales action plans to increase revenue and acquire new accounts.
  • Maintain and nurture existing client relationships, leveraging the client revenue and gross profit opportunity.
  • Work with various NELSON divisions to effectively cross-sell into client relationships.
  • Negotiate contracts and work agreements on behalf of NELSON.
  • Develop customer relations, including sales leads, research, cold calling, qualifying leads, and customer service.
  • Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, tracking work as specified by manager.
  • Represent NELSON at business/trade events, implementing knowledge gained to improve business impactful strategies.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of staffing industry product information and local competition.
  • Possess excellent organizational, problem-resolution, consultative sales, verbal, and written communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
  • One to two years of related experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of recruiting practices preferred.
  • Proven track record of success with previous company.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically, or through other means to individuals and groups.

Work Environment:

  • Works in an office environment where temperatures are comfortable and noise level is low to moderate.
  • When traveling to client locations, can encounter varying work environments and conditions.

Compensation:
$60K - $85K plus commission
