Overview

The Portfolio Manager plays a crucial role in formulating comprehensive strategies for renewable energy projects. This position involves overseeing and managing activities throughout the entire project lifecycle, from conception to execution. The individual is tasked with proactively identifying potential obstacles and devising effective solutions to guarantee the success of initiatives within the portfolio.

This role is designed to operate on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Create detailed strategies that encompass objectives, deliverables, critical milestones, required resources, and timelines, taking into account specific limitations associated with renewable energy projects.
  • Portfolio Oversight: Collaborate with Development, Engineering, and Procurement teams to synchronize milestones and tasks across various portfolios. Develop project-specific timelines and monitor progress against milestones.
  • Resource Allocation: Effectively distribute human, financial, and material resources to enhance project outcomes. Align procurement timelines and manage long lead items across the portfolio to ensure timely acquisition of equipment and contracts.
  • Project Monitoring: Oversee and communicate all phases of projects, from initial development to the commencement of construction.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks across the portfolio.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure that all projects meet the necessary health, safety, and environmental regulations and documentation requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear communication with various stakeholders and coordinate activities among involved teams.
  • Financial Management: Monitor budgets, control expenditures, and optimize costs across the portfolio to ensure alignment among team members.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Generate regular reports on project status and document significant milestones. Update internal project management systems and assist in the creation of templates and presentations.
