**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to understand near-term supply and demand dynamics, competitor strategies, and transmission constraints to identify opportunities to maximize gross margin.
  • Trading Strategies: Develop and implement trading strategies to optimize physical and financial trading positions, focusing on maximizing value capture for clients' battery storage, wind, and solar assets.
  • Tool Development: Collaborate with internal teams to scope and develop required tools and operational processes to enable scalability and success for the business.
  • Asset Onboarding: Support asset onboarding and ISO-related monitoring and documentation requests as needed.
  • Risk Management: Assess real-time market opportunities and risk while managing client assets and maintaining compliance as part of our shift desk rotation.

**Requirements:**

  • Experience or strong interest in short-term power trading, managing dispatch of physical assets, and executing trading strategies in physical and financial markets.
  • Attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict operating protocols, including ERCOT business practices and nodal protocols, as well as NERC operating guidelines.
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex issues in an accessible way and prioritize workload in a time-pressured environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for developing trust with clients, third-party vendors, and teammates.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in high-pressure, high-value situations and provide justification for decisions.
  • Flexibility to participate in shift desk rotation (weekends and overnight).
