Cubico Sustainable Investments is seeking an experienced professional to join our Origination and Execution team in the US. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and executing investment opportunities for Cubico in the US, targeting acquisition of early and mid-stage greenfield renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities- Origination and Execution: Assist the US Head of Origination and Execution and US Country Head in identifying and executing investment opportunities for Cubico in the US.
- Project Finance and Tax Equity: Raise project finance and tax equity ahead of construction, and refinance existing debt facilities for operational projects to optimize equity cash flow.
- Equity Investment and Underwriting: Oversee equity investment and underwriting processes, including task allocation and management throughout the investment cycle.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Development, Investment Analysis, Legal, Finance, Tax, Technical, Asset Management, etc.
- People Management: Train, support, and oversee collaborators in the execution and negotiation of investment transactions.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience originating and executing renewable energy equity and debt transactions in the US.
- Structuring and Transaction: Ability to structure and transaction on early and mid-stage development assets through upfront or earnout structures.
- US Tax Equity Investments: Knowledgeable in raising and structuring US tax equity investments.
- Renewable Energy Technologies: Deep understanding of various renewable energy technologies (wind, solar PV, battery storage) and the full investment cycle.
- North American Electricity Market: In-depth knowledge of the North American Electricity Market and U.S. development process.
- Communication and Negotiation: Excellent communication skills, able to address contractual, commercial, and technical issues.
- Adaptability and Risk Management: Ability to adapt and reassess priorities in challenging situations and tight deadlines.
- Self-Driven and Analytical: Self-driven with the ability to manage diverse workloads and meet deadlines.
- Equity and Debt Structuring: Expertise in equity and debt structuring/restructuring.
- Project Development Cycle: Comprehensive understanding of the project development cycle.
- Attention to Detail and Risk Management: Meticulous attention to detail, analytical prowess, and risk management skills.
- Commercial Acumen and Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop constructive external relationships.
