About Good-2-Go Oregon: We are a leading community-based support program dedicated to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, focusing on high-functioning individuals.
Independent Living Services (ILS): Our ILS department empowers clients to acquire essential skills for independent living. These skills encompass both practical abilities, such as meal preparation, and interpersonal skills, such as social interaction. This program is designed to be hands-off, meaning it does not involve cleaning, bathing, or feeding clients.
Key Responsibilities:
The role of the Empowerment Skills Facilitator is dynamic and centered on building relationships and problem-solving. You will support clients in reaching their objectives by delivering in-home services that focus on teaching vital life skills. Examples of these skills include:
- Meal preparation
- Household management
- Community access
Clients typically enjoy community involvement and may require assistance when engaging outside their homes. Consequently, community engagement is a significant aspect of this role.
Daily Activities May Include:
- Listening and providing emotional support
- Assisting clients with household activities
- Accompanying clients during community outings (e.g., shopping)
- Offering cognitive and emotional assistance as needed
Candidate Profile:
We seek a compassionate, dedicated, and patient individual to provide these essential services. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication abilities, conflict resolution skills, and maintain professional boundaries. While training is provided post-hire, prior experience with individuals with disabilities is advantageous.

- Willingness to obtain First-Aid/CPR certification
