Overview:

The Asset Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the management of IT assets and inventory, ensuring that all technical service agreements are efficiently administered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the administration of IT inventory and asset management, ensuring that software licensing information is accurately maintained and updated.
  • Collaborates with the IT Procurement Manager to establish comprehensive IT purchasing standards and procedures across the organization.
  • Develops and manages enterprise-wide asset management systems, acting as a liaison with Finance and Legal departments to align with corporate functions.
  • Ensures compliance with corporate and legal regulations regarding the management of IT hardware and software assets.
  • Evaluates, recommends, and implements asset management systems for all IT technical resources.
  • Supports the Finance department by providing detailed asset information and managing physical inventory controls.
  • Defines asset acquisition requirements and procedures, including management and disposal strategies for the organization.
  • Prepares asset budgets, coordinates with IT Procurement on purchase order receipts, processes invoices, and reconciles inventory changes.
  • Requires extensive experience in asset and financial management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: At least 7 years of relevant business experience, including leadership of teams focused on asset management, finance, procurement, or service contract management.

Professional Scope:

  • Positioned at the middle management level, operating under the general guidance of senior management.
  • Responsible for managing and mentoring supervisors, project leads, and technical staff.
  • Leads multiple complex projects as a subject matter expert.
  • Regularly reports to senior executives, such as the IT Chief Operating Officer or Chief Sourcing Officer.
